SmartPath Automation was launched in September 2020 by owner and Chief Automation Specialist Douglas Webber, based in the Greenville/Spartanburg area of South Carolina.

Douglas brings over 15 years of robot programming with ABB, FANUC and Kawasaki, across material handling, sealing, MIG welding, spot welding and painting.
Alongside the robots, he works across the full automation stack: Siemens TIA Portal and Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, panel design and EPLAN, commissioning, machine vision, and now edge AI and self-hosted automation workflows.
Excellent communication and a habit of building robust, mutually beneficial relationships at every level, from operators to leadership.
